We are a small but mighty team of public health experts, digital media storytellers, and community collaborators. Our shared belief is that lasting health solutions must come from and be shaped by the communities they serve.

Nina Taylor PhD, MPH

Chief Executive Officer

Nina Taylor started working for community based organizations when she graduated from college in 2010. When she realized that she needed better tools to serve her community, she went back to school and completed her master’s degree in Public Health at George Washington University. She quickly fell in love with public health program development and implementation and shortly thereafter began her PhD in Public Health at Oregon State University. Her research and training focused on Dissemination and Implementation Science with a topical concentration in disorder eating and weight stigma. She also developed, adapted, and taught public health courses. Since completing her PhD, Nina Taylor has continued to teach both public health undergraduates and graduates part-time while raising her young family. Contact Nina here.

Ashley Schuyler PhD, MPH

Chief Scientific Officer

Ashley Schuyler is a public health scientist with nearly 20 years of experience studying sexual health and program implementation among often under-served populations, including LGBTQ+ and military/veteran communities. Her passion for public health and community-engaged science started in college when she worked as a research assistant on an HIV vaccine study. She continued to serve in many roles on public health research projects while completing her MPH at Columbia University, her PhD and postdoc training at Oregon State University, and as a research specialist at the University of Southern California. Ashley brings a broad range of research skills including community outreach, data collection and management, quantitative and qualitative research methods, and communicating research findings to a variety of audiences. Laura Bronner

Chief Operating Officer

Laura Bronner is a digital media expert with a passion for building meaningful, community-centered projects. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Babson College, she spent several years working in marketing with organizations around the world before starting her own digital media business in 2016. Since then, she has built and grown that business into a trusted platform focused on storytelling, education, and connection. Laura brings over a decade of experience in building scalable systems, engaging audiences, and creating sustainable revenue streams. She leads the organization’s brand strategy, marketing, operations, and digital infrastructure, ensuring that the work behind the scenes supports and uplifts the people and programs at the center of the mission. When she’s not managing systems or crafting campaigns, Laura is usually hiking, writing, or planning her next off-the-beaten-path adventure. Contact Laura here.

Board Members

Kate Franza, LCSW

Kate Franza (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and currently serves as the Chief Impact Officer at San Francisco Community Health Center, where she has proudly worked for over 12 years. She began her career in New York as a substance use counselor and case manager. That experience shaped her commitment to public health and social justice. At the San Francisco Community Health Center, she oversees all of the agency’s grant-funded programming. Her program portfolio includes HIV and Hep C treatment and prevention, an array of services that serve transgender and gender non-conforming communities, overdose prevention, and support for unhoused communities. She also oversees San Francisco’s only shelter dedicated to housing transgender and gender nonconforming individuals, as well as the agency’s capacity building and training initiatives. In addition to her role at the health center, she operates a small private therapy practice, where she provides clinical care and supervision to trainees. Serving on the board of directors allows her to bring both her leadership experience, frontline work experience, and passion for advancing health equity. She believes it is critical, in this moment, that we work together to strengthen our communities.

Marissa Monaco

Marissa Monaco is a Customer Success leader in the technology industry, having spent much of her career at Okta and, most recently, MongoDB. Throughout her tenure at Okta, Marissa dedicated her volunteer time to leveraging technology for social impact through her role as a Strategy Lead on the Okta for Good Product Impact Team. In this capacity, she focused on supporting Okta’s nonprofit customers, helping them maximize the value of their technology investments, including supporting how nonprofit technology leaders can effectively communicate quantitative results to stakeholders, executive boards, and external funders in order to free everyone to safely use any technology. In her spare time, Marissa enjoys exploring all there is to eat in NYC, traveling, and spending time with family at the beach or hiking and skiing in the mountains.

Eiman AlEissa, PhD, MPH, RDH

Eiman AlEissa, PhD, MPH, RDH, is a dental provider and a public health professional and researcher specializing in dental public health, health promotion, and implementation science. Dr. AlEissa’s research examines school-based dental sealant programs, community-based oral health services, and the re-implementation of public health interventions during crises. She has extensive experience in developing research proposals, designing interview protocols, recruiting participants, and conducting qualitative data collection through focus groups and in-depth interviews. She is skilled in qualitative data analysis, interpretation, and manuscript development, with publications in peer-reviewed journals. Her work is grounded in advancing oral health equity and strengthening the sustainability of community-based preventive programs.

Julia Drizin, PhD

Julia Drizin, PhD, is a User Experience Researcher and Insights Analyst at a primary care and health navigation technology company. There, she leads qualitative and mixed-methods research to evaluate and improve digital tools and care experiences for patients and care teams. She received her PhD in Public Health (Health Promotion & Health Behavior) in 2022 from Oregon State University, where her research focused on psychosocial aspects of adolescent and young adult cancer survivorship. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor’s degree at UC San Diego and her Master’s degree at San Diego State University, both in Psychology. She currently resides in Salem, OR, with her husband and their dog, Amber.
